Rafting and canopy tours in Costa Rica
Rafting and canopy tours in Costa Rica are for people that like to challenge themselves. We start with a canopy tour built into the canyon with beautiful views. Once we finish there, we will take you to get ready to go of the rafting tour. The excursion ends with a great lunch.
Canopy Tours
The canopy tour has a total of 9 cables and 17 platforms. These cross back and forth over the Colorado river canyon, providing stunning views and glimpses onto the natural world and wildlife of the canyon.
Canyon Rafting
The rafting trip is approx 3 kilometers (1.9 miles), which usually take a little over an hour. Departing the hotel in a bus, a 10 min drive gets us to the river bank where the raft tour commences. Full safety equipment is provided, including helmets & life-jackets. River conditions vary, but if there are higher volumes of water, the inflatable rafts will have a guide provided. The trips is rated at Class II / III class depending on river and weather conditions.
Excursion Location: Guanacaste El Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Costa Rica
El Rincón de la Vieja National Park extends over 14,000 hectares. It encompasses the Colorado River, the largest river basin in Guanacaste. The region is the source of numerous other smaller rivers and creeks. These valleys will all entice you to get out walking!
What to bring: rafting swimsuit, water shoes, bug spray, sunscreen and extra change of clothes.
Includes: air conditioned transportation, bilingual tour guide, canopy tour, rafting and lunch.
